One man was killed and another injured in a vehicle accident in Clairemont, police reported Sunday.
Sergio Sosa, 24, was driving a pickup truck west on Balboa Avenue near Clairemont Drive when he lost control and veered off the roadway and overturned just before midnight Saturday, police said. Passenger Roberto Sosa Sandoval, 24, died of internal injuries at the scene, said Deputy Coroner Chuck Bolton. The driver was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in guarded condition Sunday night with possible back injuries, said a nursing supervisor.
