Beverly Hills : Preparation for Emergencies
The City Council voted Tuesday to accept an invitation by the Federal Emergency Management Agency to attend a three-day course on how to prepare for and cope with disasters and major emergencies.
About 60 city officials will attend the Integrated Emergency Management Course scheduled for July 25-28, 1988, at the agency’s academy in Emmitsburg, Md. The course is designed to recreate the conditions of a real emergency and to test participants’ responses under extreme pressure.
The city’s participation will be funded by federal stipends.
