A homeless man was shot and killed by someone in a passing car as he slept in his own automobile in Wilmington, police reported. The 35-year-old victim’s identity was withheld pending notification of relatives. Los Angeles police officer J.E. Lucero said the man was asleep in the parked car on Cristobal Avenue south of I Street about 2 a.m. when shots were fired from a vehicle containing two men.
