San Diego
A man and a woman were found dead, apparently murdered, at a Normal Heights residence Wednesday afternoon, police said.
The identity of the victims was withheld pending notification of relatives. Both victims suffered multiple stab wounds, according to San Diego police.
Homicide detectives are investigating the double homicide. Details on the case were sketchy late Wednesday. The motive for the killings was unclear, police said.
Authorities discovered the bodies shortly after 4 p.m., police said, when firefighters were called to the residence at 4596 Louisiana St. to investigate a natural-gas leak. Fire officials discovered the bodies and notified police.
The woman was found lying in the living room, and the man was found lying on the bed in the master bedroom, police said.
