Hawthorne : Pacts With 3 Unions OKd
The City Council has approved 5% increases in wages and benefits for three of the city’s five employee groups.
One-year contracts were approved for the Hawthorne Firemen’s Assn.; Hawthorne Municipal Employees Assn., which represents most city employees, and Local 911 of the California Teamsters Public, Professional and Medical Employees, which represent the non-sworn police service officers.
The city has yet to reach agreement with unions representing police officers and middle-management employees.
