Studio City Man Killed in 2-Car Collision
A 31-year-old Studio City man was killed in Glendale Tuesday when the car in which he was a passenger flipped upside down after it ran a red light and was struck by another car, Glendale police said.
Martin Lampert suffered head injuries in the 2:19 p.m. accident at the intersection of Brand Boulevard and Goode Avenue and died at the scene.
Lampert was the front-seat passenger in a compact driven by Juan Kirsten, 28, also of Studio City, police said. The two men were traveling south on Brand Boulevard, police said, when Kirsten ran a red light and was hit broadside by a car traveling west on Goode Avenue.
The second driver, Kathryn McLaughlin, 61, of Glendale was not hurt, police said. Kirsten suffered facial cuts.
