Funds for Abortions
The President seems to think that granting money to family-planning clinics which also give counseling about abortion may be misconstrued to imply that the government approves of abortion. Does this mean that because the government pledged funds to cure AIDS that it supports the homosexual life style? Of course not!
The government’s job is to tackle social problems, not to make morality judgments. If funds to family-planning clinics are cut, a gross injustice will be done to poor women in this country.
