2 Planes Make Landing After Collision
SAN CARLOS, Calif. — A television news station plane and a small aircraft collided Friday while flying over San Carlos, but pilots of both planes managed to land safely at different airports, radio station KGO reported.
The station’s traffic reporter, Lynn Durling, landed at San Carlos Airport. The unidentified pilot of the other aircraft landed safely at Palo Alto Airport, where the runway had to be closed temporarily because the heavily damaged plane could not be moved, according to KGO reporter Steve Walsh.
Neither pilot apparently received major injuries, Walsh said.
