Sen. Kennedy
When we speak of heroics in government, perhaps we can turn our attention to Sen. Edward M. Kennedy (D-Mass.). In the past year he has proposed a potentially life-saving national health care plan, and introduced a privately funded national literacy corps to combat the appallingly high number of illiterates in our country.
This kind of “overt” attention to our country by one of its most dedicated servants takes some of the horror away from the “covert” attention that befell our country.
Bravo Sen. Kennedy!
