Iran-Contra Hearings Look Inside the Administration
“Shultz’s View,” (Editorial, July 26) is an excellent report that deviously concludes with three paragraphs of unquestionable anti-Reagan bias, but avoids a presumption that obviously Shultz too was duped! Where was Shultz while the ranch burned? Why couldn’t he smell the smoke in his backyard and attract the President’s attention to it? It seems obvious that there is more than presidential inadequacy involved, and we should all hope that resolution of this affair will result in something better than just a defaced chief of state.
