Imports Top Trouble-Free New-Car List
Japanese and German car manufacturers dominate a list of the most trouble-free 1987 car models as compiled from a survey by J. D. Power & Associates, a Westlake Village automotive marketing and research firm.
Only two American automobile makers, General Motors and Ford, made the list. German car maker Mercedes Benz has the most entries, with four on the list. Japanese car makers Toyota, Nissan, Acura and Honda, and German car maker BMW, each have two models on the list. The most problem-free car is the Toyota Cressida, a luxury car.
