The House voted overwhelmingly to reauthorize and expand programs under the Older Americans Act, including transportation, homemaking and meal services. The bill, passed 379 to 8 and sent to the Senate, would continue the Older Americans Act programs through 1991. It authorizes $1.5 billion in 1988, plus a 5% increase each year to cover inflation.
