Culver City : College Professor Honored
Marc Mancini, professor of foreign languages, has been named West Los Angeles College’s Innovator of the Year for his efforts on behalf of the college’s Language Learning Center.
Since the center opened in 1983, Mancini has obtained $135,000 in grants and loans for the center and $40,000 worth of equipment from computer software manufacturers, officials said.
“As a result, the center now has the most complete collection of foreign alanguage audio, video and computer programming (resources) in the nation,” said college President Linda Thor.
