Fullerton : Police Search Frat House for Illegal TV Hookups
Officers searched a Cal State fraternity house Tuesday for illegal cable TV hookups, but no arrests were made, a police spokeswoman said.
A team of police officers who searched the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house in the 2100 block of Teri Place found six “splitter boxes” connected to a spliced cable, spokeswoman Linda King said.
The evidence will be turned over to the district attorney’s office for investigation, she added.
King said an employee of Comcast Cable, the cable TV company covering the Fullerton area, had reported that illegal cable service was being received at the fraternity house.
The employee had noticed a spliced cable illegally strung from a telephone pole to the fraternity house, she said.
Spokesmen for the fraternity and Comcast Cable could not be reached for comment.
