Playa Del Rey : Dockweiler RV Park Closed
Dockweiler Beach Recreational Vehicle Park has been closed for a $1-million renovation. The county plans to install electrical and water hookups, sewage disposal facilities, new paving and lighting, a meeting room, laundry room and showers before the park reopens in early July, said Jim Cole of the county’s Department of Beaches and Harbors.
The county also plans to reduce the number of spaces for recreational vehicles from 139 to 118. Once the park has reopened, hookup fees for most spaces will increase from $10 to $17 a night. About 35 spaces will not have electrical and sewage hookups and will remain at $10 a night.
