Needy senior citizens may obtain free legal assistance next Thursday when a legal team will visit the Felicia Mahood Multipurpose Senior Center, 11338 Santa Monica Blvd.

Attorneys and paralegals from the city LAWS (Legal Aid for the Welfare of Seniors) project visit senior centers in the city on a rotating basis. They specialize in problems relating to Social Security and other government benefits and in the preparation of wills.

All residents of the city of Los Angeles who are needy and at least 60 years old are eligible. The program, funded by the city’s Department of Aging, is conducted by Bet Tzedek Legal Services, a law center that handles the legal problems of the elderly and disadvantaged. For an appointment, call (213) 479-4119.
