Baldwin Park : Izell Home From Hospital
City Councilman Bobbie Izell was released Tuesday from Queen of the Valley Hospital, where he was admitted 11 days earlier for a prostate infection. He underwent prostate surgery on Friday and had surgery last week to remove polyps from his colon, which were discovered during his stay in the hospital.
The City Council, which is made up of Izell and Mayor Pro Tem Richard Gibson, met briefly last week in Izell’s hospital room to authorize the payment of city bills.
Izell, 61, is recovering at home.
