A pilot was forced to land his home-built airplane short of Brown Field Sunday afternoon when the aircraft’s propeller suddenly stopped turning as he was making his descent for landing. He was not injured.
The pilot, Lee Klaus, landed the light plane on a cattle road about two miles north of Brown Field, air traffic controllers said Sunday. The landing gear on Klaus’s experimental plane was damaged in the 12:23 p.m. accident.
