15 Vehicles Pile Up in Fog
A total of 15 vehicles piled up in the southbound lanes of Interstate 15 near Fontana in early-morning fog today, sending nine persons to nearby hospitals for treatment, a California Highway Patrol spokesman said. All injuries were described as minor.
Visibility was down to 20 feet when the accident occurred at about 7:20 a.m. “It all began with two cars, a cement truck and a big rig,” said CHP officer John Savage. “After that people just drove right into them.”
