Beckman Instruments Inc. of Fullerton will be laying off 121 employees in its Paso Robles and Porterville plants in addition to the 91 workers to be released from its Orange County facilities on Feb. 8, the company confirmed Wednesday.
The local layoffs were announced last week by the medical and laboratory equipment maker. The cuts were blamed on declining federal spending for health care and related research.
