Huntington Beach : Two Men Held, One Sought After Shooting
Two men were in custody and a third was being sought by police on Monday in the aftermath of a shooting that left one Huntington Beach man dead.
Jesus Alonzo Fernandes, 30, was shot once in the head when he attempted to break up a fight that broke out during a card game at his apartment on Queens Street late Saturday night, police said.
Abram Mejia, 23, of Huntington Beach was still at large Monday, wanted on suspicion of murder, while his brother, Josafa, 25, and another man, Fortunato Rosas, 33, both of Huntington Beach, were being held on suspicion of conspiracy to commit homicide.
Rosas, who lives in the same apartment complex as the dead man, suffered a minor gunshot wound in the arm in the scuffle and was treated at a hospital before being booked into city jail.
