Sacramento school janitor Melvin Culver filed a sexual harassment complaint, charging that four female teachers offered him $25 to do a striptease at the birthday party they were giving last spring for another teacher. “Teachers aren’t your boss,” he said in the complaint that he filed with the state Fair Employment and Housing Department, “but you deal with them a lot,” and he became “really upset and uptight” when they repeated their offer several times and then joked about his response when others were present. He said he wants an apology from the teachers, a workshop on sexual harassment at the school where he worked and a settlement from the Sacramento school district for therapy he said he needs because of the incident.
