Bush Campaign Fund Chairman Appointed

WASHINGTON — Lee Atwater, who was deputy director of President Reagan’s reelection campaign, on Friday was named chairman of Vice President George Bush’s political action committee.
The Fund for America’s Future is one of several PACs set up by GOP presidential aspirants to help Republican candidates in the 1986 elections. Atwater, 34, joined a political consulting firm after the 1984 campaign.
