Fullerton : Three City Employees Receive Annual Awards
Three city employees have received top honors in the Employee and Manager of the Year awards for their work and dedication last year.
Fire Capt. Tom Treloar was named Safety Employee of the Year; Mary Jo Corbin, a clerical assistant on the budget management staff, was named Nonsafety Employee of the Year (she has a nonhazardous job), and Pete Van de Weerd, building maintenance superintendent, received the award for Manager of the Year.
All three received a plaque and a $350 check for their efforts. They were selected over several other employees for the awards by a committee of department heads.
This is the third year the city has presented the Safety and Nonsafety Employee of the Year awards, while the award for Manager of the Year was presented for the first time.
