Orange : Man Held in Murder of Construction Worker
Police, acting on a tip, have arrested an Anaheim man on charges of murdering a construction worker on Dec. 30 when the victim returned to his home for lunch, a police spokesman said Friday.
Sgt. Ed Tunstall said that officers arrested Rodney Gene Beeler, 34, Thursday at an east Anaheim business where he worked.
Beeler was charged with the murder of Anthony Joseph Stevenson, 24, of Orange. Stevenson was shot once in the back at his home in the 1140 block of East Everett Place after he surprised an intruder.
Tunstall said Beeler was also charged with burglary and remained in Orange County Jail without bail.
