2 Motorcyclists Included in Day’s 3 Traffic Fatalities
Motorcycle riders were fatally injured in Costa Mesa and Huntington Beach within a two-hour period Friday afternoon.
In the Huntington Beach accident, a motorcylist collided with a car on Warner Avenue, west of Golden West Avenue at 3 p.m. The Orange County coroner’s office Friday night identified him as Jeffrey M. Esposito, 23, of Westminster. He died at 4:05 p.m. at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital, the coroner’s office said.
In the Costa Mesa accident, a 44-year-old motorcyclist was killed, police said, when he ran a red light on Adams Avenue at Royal Palm Drive and crashed into the rear of a truck. His name was not released pending notification of relatives.
In a third vehicular accident Friday, a driver was fatally injured on La Paz Road just west of Paseo de Valencia in Laguna Hills when his car collided with a car going in the opposite direction, California Highway Patrol Officer Bruce Lian said. The victim was identified by the coroner’s office as Peter H. Boughdadly, 29, of Trabuco Canyon. The other driver, Lian said, was Beverly Lollor, 47, of Tustin, who suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Mission Community Hospital in Mission Viejo.
