Arizona: Scottsdale resort offers free night for baseball fans
Scottsdale, Ariz., is the land of vast desert resorts, a place to unwind in winter under fair skies. It’s also an area where many of Major League Baseball’s spring training games are played. Montelucia Resort & Spa in Scottsdale offers a package that gives baseball fans (and anyone else) a fourth night free for a three-night stay.
The deal: Prices aren’t cheap at this luxury resort with almost 300 rooms and within driving distance of the 10 Cactus League baseball stadiums. The Homerun Package starts at $329 a night (that’s with the discount) plus tax and resort fee. Guests also receive a $50 credit at the resort’s Centro Lounge. No tickets come with this deal, just the room and the credit.
When: The offer is good through May 31.
Tested: I checked availability for the deal for Feb. 22-26 and found the package for the lower rate of $271 a night (usually $359 a night), plus the $25 daily resort fee and tax. During that time, the L.A. Dodgers and the L.A. Angels of Anaheim are among the teams scheduled to play. Here’s a calendar of matchups to consider before you book.
