Pac-12: USC picked to win conference, Sarkisian will respond Friday
USC beat reporter Gary Klein and Lindsey Thiry discuss USC storylines that emerged on Day 1 of Pac-12 media days.
The media picked USC to win the Pac-12 championship and the Trojans were ranked 10th in the preseason coaches poll Thursday.
But USC Coach Steve Sarkisian’s comments about the selections must wait until Friday, when he takes the stage at Pac-12 media days -- a two-day event at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank.
Even as Sarkisian, quarterback Cody Kessler and linebacker Su’a Cravens were led between television interviews far away from the main interview stage, there was plenty of buzz about the Trojans.
USC beat reporter Gary Klein joins me to discuss story lines that emerged: Sarkisian’s reunion with former Washington players in October, UCLA’s secret to beating USC for three seasons and Arizona State quarterback Mike Bercovici’s improbable Hail Mary against the Trojans in 2014.
