Woman dead in man’s possible murder-suicide attempt in Koreatown

A woman was shot to death and a man, possibly the woman’s former husband, was left in critical condition in a possible attempted murder-suicide in Koreatown on Friday morning, police said.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department rushed to the 3300 block of James M. Wood Boulevard about 6:30 a.m. to reports of a shooting and found a woman dead inside her car, said Officer Liliana Preciado.

Sometime after, the suspected shooter was found a few blocks away suffering from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said. The man was rushed to the hospital and is listed in critical condition.
Friday’s shooting would be the sixth homicide in Koreatown in the last 12 months, according to the Homicide Report database.
