Los Ángeles — Con un ataque conjunto entre aviones y helicópteros el control de un peligroso incendio que ya ha destruido más de 30 viviendas en el sur de California aumentó a cerca del 30 %, informaron hoy las autoridades.
El incendio al que se ha llamado Holy ha consumido 8.700 hectáreas del Bosque Nacional de Cleveland situado a unos 100 kilómetros al sureste de Los Ángeles, y continúa devastando esta región del sur de California y amenazando a más de 21.400 residentes que han recibido orden de evacuación.

En el sector del famoso Lago de Elsinore, importante centro turístico de la región, el equipo aéreo compuesto por 12 aviones y 14 helicópteros ha estado realizando viajes continuos para descargar agua y retardantes contra el violento incendio forestal.
Según informaron las autoridades, la cercanía del lago ha posibilitado un control mayor de este fuego, que el viernes estaba controlado en sólo 5%.

Entre los incendios que continúan activos en California también destaca “Ferguson”, que lleva 30 días activo y ha destruido más de 38.660 hectáreas y ha sido contenido en un 82 %.
