Some might consider Andy Warhol’s painting “Triple Elvis [Ferus Type]†a little trippy. For one visitor to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, it was just a trip.

The painting was on display at the newly expanded museum Thursday when a visitor tripped and made contact with the artwork.

According to the TV station KRON4, which first reported the incident, the museum removed the 1960s painting of a gun-slinging Elvis from the gallery and is evaluating it for possible damage. Conservators are estimating the damage as “minimal,†KRON said.

The museum did not respond to a Times request for comment.
