Television and film director Gregory Hoblit has put his home in Santa Monica up for sale at $6.45 million.

Built in the 1930s and since remodeled, the two-story traditional draws from English Country design with a hip roof, custom wood finishes and built-ins, French doors and five tiled fireplaces.

Within the nearly 4,830 square feet of space is a formal entry, living/dining rooms, a family room, a center-island kitchen and den. The master suite has a soaking tub and separate dressing areas for a total of four bedrooms and four bathrooms.

Hedged by mature trees, landscaped grounds of about a third of an acre contain a swimming pool with a raised spa, an outdoor fireplace and a dining area set beneath a vine-wrapped pergola. Elsewhere, an office with a fireplace and balcony sits above the garage.

The property last sold in 1988 for $1.55 million, records show.

Barbara Boyle of Sotheby’s International Realty and Elizabeth Puro of Teles Properties are the co-listing agents.

The Emmy Award-winning Hoblit, 70, has had a directing and producing career distinguished by such TV series as “NYPD Blue,” “L.A. Law,” and “Hill Street Blues.” Among his film credits are “Primal Fear” (1996), “Frequency” (2000) and “Hart’s War” (2002).
