‘Portlandia’s’ Fred Armisen snags a stately English-style home in Los Feliz
Fred Armisen is trading one hipster haven for another.
The actor-comedian of “Portlandia†fame has bought a house in historic Los Feliz for about $2.03 million, property records show. He’s also under contract to sell his renovated bungalow in nearby Silver Lake.
His new address is an English-style house built in 1927.
The brick two-story has a refined look with soft-hued interiors, rich wood floors and an updated kitchen with a herringbone backsplash. Among eye-catching details is a decorative tile fireplace in the living room, and a formal dining room with a modern chandelier.
A breakfast nook frames views of downtown L.A. through a large bay window.
The master suite, with a walk-in closet and marble-lined bathroom, has a view of Griffith Park. There are five bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms in all.
A small lawn, brick planters and a front patio make up the grounds. Elsewhere on the property is a two-car garage.
The home came to market in January with an asking price of $2.12 million, records show.
Elizabeth Marquart of RE/MAX Estate Properties was the listing agent. Laura Stupsker of The Agency repped Armisen in the sale.
Armisen, 49, currently stars in two current series: “Portlandia†and “Documentary Now!†The “Saturday Night Live†alum has also been the music director on “Late Night With Seth Meyers†since 2014.
