‘Portlandia’ actor Fred Armisen is giving up his hipster location in Silver Lake
Comic actor Fred Armisen of “Portlandia†has listed his tidy hillside bungalow in Silver Lake at $949,000.
The refurbished 1927 house combines vintage details with modern amenities. Views take in northeast Los Angeles and the outlying mountains.
The kitchen is outfitted with reclaimed barn wood, a divided farmhouse sink, marble counters, oak floors, period hardware and subway tile. The ever-so-current mismatched cabinetry includes white cupboards above and a deep denim blue below. The three bedrooms and two full bathrooms include a master suite with a walk-in closet.
A secluded deck and outdoor dining area sit in the backyard. The gated 1,456-square-foot house has a finished bonus space and detached two-car garage.
The busy actor, 49, stars in two current series: “Portlandia†and “Documentary Now!†He has also been the music director on “Late Night With Seth Meyers†since 2014. Yep, that’s him, same guy. His scores of credits include stints on “Saturday Night Live,†where he has portrayed President Obama, among others.
He bought the property in 2013 for $763,000, public records show.
Laura Stupsker of The Agency is the listing agent.
