American race bike designer Erik Buell has taken the wraps off his highly anticipated new entrant into the U.S. sport bike field.
It’s the EBR1190RX, and it’s a beauty.
Cranking 185 horsepower and 102 foot-pounds of torque, and weighing in at 419 pounds, it’s also going to be a screamer.

Unveiled Wednesday at the American International Motorcycle Expo in Orlando, Fla., Buell’s new machine is the latest in a long line of cutting-edge motorcycles from the East Troy, Wis., bike builder.
Buell went solo a couple of years back when his relationship with Harley-Davidson went south -- orphaning owners of the Harley-Davidson-powered Buell sports bikes that Harley had been selling through its wide network of dealerships.
The designer returned to racing, and began winning podiums, and retailed a much-admired street version of that racer, the limited edition 1190RS Super Bike.

But that bike retailed at around $50,000. The EBR1190RX, though, will hit showrooms with a sticker price of $18,995.
