Boiling mad
Re “A slow boil in a clawless frontier,” Column One, July 2
Once again, I am appalled at the state of our nation. A man and his wife try to make a living selling crayfish, and the government hammers down on them.
We can buy poison in a bag of cigarettes, pesticides -- but crayfish? Makes this former Californian want to just sit down and cry.

We need to tell the Nevada Legislature or wildlife officials what we think of this. Go raid a pot farm; leave these people alone.
I looked into farming lobsters at one point. I now own a vineyard in northwest Illinois. Are they going to come after my vines?
