Gunmen in a green minivan opened fire on a group of teenagers waiting at a bus stop near a Detroit school, wounding seven, authorities said. Two of the victims were in critical condition.
The gunmen got out of a vehicle and “asked for a person by name” before they “opened fire at the crowd,” said Detroit Public Schools Police Chief Roderick Grimes.
Four boys and three girls, ages 14 to 17, were hospitalized, Deputy Chief James Tolbert said. A 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl were in critical condition, he said.
