Samsung Again Sues Rambus in Latest Volley
From Bloomberg News
Samsung Electronics Co., the world’s biggest maker of computer-memory chips, has sued chip designer Rambus Inc., contending that the company “secretly engaged” a Samsung lawyer to provide inside information for lawsuits.
The lawsuit filed in a Delaware Chancery Court said Neil Steinberg left his job as an in-house attorney at Samsung in August 1998, six months after he began working for Rambus.
This is the fourth lawsuit filed between the companies this month after talks on a new licensing agreement broke down.
A spokeswoman for Los Altos, Calif.-based Rambus said Steinberg no longer worked at Rambus. He is not a defendant in the suit.
A Samsung spokeswoman declined to comment.
