Patriotic? Enlist

In her article about Michael Davidson, the candidate for chairman of the College Republican National Committee [“His Graduate Course in Politics,” June 22], Robin Abcarian writes that “Davidson is unafraid to take the battle to the enemy.”

Here’s a neat idea: Why don’t Michael Davidson and all his 120,000 colleagues postpone their educations for a couple of years and enlist in the armed forces?

Surely that would be the best way for these patriotic whippersnappers to show their support for their president and their country.
