Bodies of 2 Lost Teens Found in Flooded Creek
The bodies of two Colorado Springs teens who apparently drowned in a rain-swollen creek were recovered a day after the pair went outside to play during a thunderstorm that left some streets under 4 feet of water.
The two youths, both 14, were last seen Tuesday, when one went home to get a drink and then left to play just before a storm hit the area, fire department Lt. Brian Keys said.
The mother of one boy found her son’s body in the creek Wednesday. Search teams later found the other boy’s body about 6 1/2 miles downstream. Neither boy’s name was released.
