vs. Connecticut, 7:30

Site -- Staples Center.

Radio -- 690.

Records -- Sparks 6-4, Sun 7-1.

Record vs. Sun (2004) -- 1-1.

Update -- The WNBA’s top scoring teams meet in an East-West confrontation. It’s not surprising to see Los Angeles at No. 2, averaging 72.2 points. It is surprising to see the Sun at No. 1, averaging 76.3 points. That’s well above the Connecticut franchise record for a season (70.4, set in 2002). That means the Sun, which beat Detroit, 73-63, Saturday, won’t be playing the slow-down, half-court game typical of the East. Also on display are the WNBA’s two top shot-blockers, the Sun’s 7-foot-2 Margo Dydek (3.5 average) and Sparks’ 6-5 Lisa Leslie (3.4).

Tickets -- (213) 480-3232.
