Tsunami Warning?
Re “If This Had Been an Actual Tsunami ... ,” June 16: When I woke up this morning, I was stunned to read there was a tsunami warning up and down the West Coast on Tuesday night. You wrote that people on the beach were warned. Well, guess what? I live right on the beach in Venice. I was home all night, and nobody warned me. I heard nothing. What kind of system is that? Do they only warn people outside walking on the sand? I’m afraid our so-called warning system is as flawed as the one in Thailand and Indonesia.
