Jackson, Storm Keep Streak Going
Lauren Jackson had season highs with 24 points, 15 rebounds and five blocked shots to lead the Seattle Storm to an 83-77 victory over the Indiana Fever in Seattle on Saturday night.
The Storm (4-1) won its fourth consecutive game since an 18-point loss to the Sparks in the season opener. Jackson scored eight points in that game, and has averaged 18 since.
Sue Bird scored 20 points, Janell Burse had 15 and Betty Lennox added 13 for the Storm.
The Fever (4-2) has lost two of its last three games and remains winless in five trips to Seattle.
A three-pointer by Tan White gave Indiana its first lead at 41-40 with 15:30 to play in the game. Seattle responded and outscored Indiana, 32-18, over the next 11 minutes to gain control.

Houston 59, Phoenix 57 -- Sheryl Swoopes’ layup with 25.7 seconds left won it for the Comets.
Swoopes scored just three points in the second half, but the Comets held on for their third win at home and improved to 4-1.
Anna DeForge had 20 points for the Mercury (1-5).

Connecticut 80, San Antonio 69 -- Margo Dydek had 15 points and a team-record nine blocked shots, one shy of her personal best, in Uncasville, Conn.
Dydek, who is 7 feet 2, played her former team for the first time since being traded to Connecticut (3-1) in a draft-day deal for 6-8 rookie center Katie Feenstra.
LaToya Thomas led the Silver Stars (1-6) with 17 points.

Minnesota 73, Charlotte 67 -- Katie Smith scored 17 points and Svetlana Abrosimova added 15 at home for the Lynx (2-3).
Tammy Sutton-Brown scored 14 points and Tangela Smith and Tynesha Lewis had 11 apiece for the Sting (1-5), which fell to 0-3 on the road.
Abrosimova finished six for nine from the field and Minnesota shot 54%. Smith made five of six free throws late in the game to secure the win.
