O’Brien Powers Dallas to Win Over Salt Lake
Ronnie O’Brien scored a goal and started the play that led to another, helping FC Dallas beat Real Salt Lake, 2-0, Saturday at Salt Lake City.
Dallas (7-1-3) extended its unbeaten streak to six games and became the third straight team to shut out Salt Lake (3-6-2).
Dallas used O’Brien’s goal in the 22nd minute to take the lead. He got a rebound in front and tapped it in for his fifth goal of the season.
In the 58th minute, a shot by O’Brien deflected to Abe Thompson, who kicked it in for a 2-0 lead.

Kansas City 1, New England 1 -- Khano Smith scored his first goal of the season to help the Revolution remain unbeaten this season at 6-0-4 with a tie at Foxboro, Mass. Sasha Victorine, a former Galaxy player, scored for the Wizards (4-2-5).

D.C. United 0, San Jose 0 -- Christian Gomez hit the post in the 66th minute for United (3-4-3), but the Earthquakes (3-3-5) couldn’t score either in a tie at San Jose.
