Israeli, Palestinian Mayors Hold Talks

Israeli and Palestinian mayors discussed sharing scarce water resources and jointly developing tourism during talks at The Hague, participants said.
The nearly 40 mayors said they hoped working together would foster an atmosphere of trust and help advance peace efforts as Israel prepares to withdraw from the Gaza Strip in August.
The mayors said they would hold regular talks on improving the economies and living conditions at home.
