DreamWorks Division Swings to Profit

Thanks to its blockbuster “Shrek 2,” DreamWorks Animation Inc. reported net income in the first half of the year of $124.2 million, reversing a year-earlier net loss of $115.5 million.

Glendale-based DreamWorks Animation, which is planning a $650-million initial share offering, made the announcement in a Securities Exchange Commission filing.
