Update -- Nomo has been superb all season, but the right-hander has been exceptional in his last five starts, giving up five earned runs in 36 1/3 innings, walking 11 and striking out 36. After a loss and a no-decision, Nomo has won his last three starts. Lawrence has been tough on the Dodgers, especially right fielder Shawn Green, who is batting .194 (six for 31) against the Padre right-hander, and second baseman Alex Cora, who is batting .105 (two for 19) against him.
