‘Shrek’ to visit theme parks
Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz and John Lithgow will provide the voices for a “Shrek”-inspired attraction that Universal will unveil simultaneously at its theme parks in Hollywood, Orlando and Japan this summer.
The studio said Wednesday that the attraction will feature 15 minutes of new 3-D animation, taking up where the popular 2001 feature film ended and leading into the theatrical sequel that is in the works from DreamWorks Pictures. Audience members will sit in seats “capable of both vertical and horizontal motion equipped with tactile transducers, pneumatic air propulsion and water spray nodules.”
