The seven fillies and mares in today’s fifth race at Santa Anita are not camera shy.

Vital Asset, Miss Jeanne Cat, Square Dance, Sweetcakesanshakes, Kona Queen, Adorable One and Mon Ange have combined to win 22 races in 52 starts entering the $57,000 optional claimer at six furlongs.

The most prolific has been Kona Queen. The 5-year-old Aloha Prospector mare has won six of 10 starts and has been third in three of her losses.

The elder stateswoman of the bunch is Sweetcakesanshakes. She has won five of 13 for trainer Leonard Dorfman and co-owner Mike Willman. However, she has been away since March 30, 2000.
