Microsoft Seeks Stay of Java Injunction
From Bloomberg News
Microsoft Corp. asked a U.S. judge to stay his order that it include Sun Microsystems Inc.’s Java programming language in the Windows operating system while appealing the decision.
Microsoft said Sun proposed “overbroad and unduly burdensome” terms for the injunction that U.S. District Judge J. Frederick Motz said he will issue.
Microsoft’s objections to Sun’s proposed wording of the injunction were filed in advance of a hearing before Motz on terms of the injunction. Microsoft shares fell 70 cents to $56.27 on Nasdaq, where Sun shares dropped 3 cents to $3.87.
